I've been meaning to watch Nobody for a while but hadn't got around to it. I wish I had gotten to it sooner. At the beginning of the movie it has strong falling down vibes that transitions into John Wick. The main character is a family man who gets no respect from anyone in his life, be it at home or at work.
This comes to a head when two thieves break into his house and rob him. He has an opportunity to get the drop on one of the thieves but doesn't take it. His daughter is the only person in his life that looks up to him. When he discovers her kitty bracelet is missing after the robbery he leaves to get it back. This kicks off a series of events that reveals his hidden past.
Nobody is one of the best movies I've seen all year. I love that he was willing to let everything go until it came to a worthless trinket that was important to his daughter. It has some excellent humor. The fight scenes are believable as well. Even though he's a trained extensively in combat he still ends up taking a beating. To be expected when you're outnumbered.
I'm giving it 5/5 and looking forward to watching Nobody 2!
